Sage Valley is located in north central Nevada,
near Battle Mountain and Elko
about 25 miles south of I-80.
The closest town is Crescent Valley, Nv.
DIRECTIONS
From exit 261 go 20 miles south on hwy 306
to the Village of Crescent Valley, Nv
Continue through the village and
about 5 miles south of town you will see
a wooden sign on the right side that says
Battle Mountain and Hilltop
Turn right here onto the gravel road and drive about 8 miles.
You will come to a cattle guard that is
in the middle of Phase I where the road has a Y.
The barn is on the left a bit past the cattle guard.
About 1/2 mile past the cattle guard you will cross Indian Creek.
At this point you are between lots 6 and 13 in Phase II
About 1/4 mile further up the road you will drive over a second culvert.
At this point you are on lot 2 of Phase II.
The Sage Valley Community is a loosely organized group of people who own these lots. The idea is to create a place for like minded people to live off the grid in the High Desert in a more sustainable manner.
There are no dues or mandatory community labor.
The core philosophy is based on the Peace Principles
as practiced by Traditional Societies.
There are two sets of CCR's.
The CCR's in Phase I are a bit more extensive and include the framework
for a community based on the Peace Principles and the
energies of a Medicine Wheel. This is a voluntary organization that has strictly an advisory capacity. There are regulations for correcting members who may stray from the guidelines of the CCR's but this takes a majority vote of all members.
The CCR's in Phase II are much simpler. It was the intent that the organization in Phase I would flow into Phase II in a voluntary fashion. There are no rules that say this has to happen.
The complete CCR's can be found on the website
